Hosting and server logs
This website runs on our own server, rented from netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Str. 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany, with whom we have a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the site, the server records technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system, referring page) to deliver the site and keep it secure. These logs are kept only briefly and are overwritten automatically. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in operating the website securely.
Cookies and visitor statistics
This website sets no cookies for tracking or marketing. It uses no Google Analytics and no advertising tools, and its fonts are served from our own server.
To see how the site is used (for example, which pages and films are viewed and how visitors found us), we use Umami, an open-source statistics tool that runs on our own server. Umami sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or other data that identifies you. Your IP address is used only for a moment to work out your country and to form an anonymous code that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked across days. No data is passed to anyone else. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, no statistics are recorded. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in understanding and improving our website. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is needed under § 25 TDDDG.
Enquiries and the quote form
Our quote form is provided by Typeform S.L., Carrer Bac de Roda 163, 08018 Barcelona, Spain. When you open the Contact page, or follow a "Get a quote" link, the form loads from Typeform, which receives your IP address and technical data, and the answers you enter are stored by Typeform on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Typeform's privacy policy applies to the form: typeform.com/privacy-policy.
When you write to us by email or through the form, we use your name, email address, organisation and message to answer you and to prepare an offer. We delete them 12 months after our last contact unless a project follows, in which case the retention periods of commercial and tax law apply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps before a contract.
Our "Chat on WhatsApp" button is a plain link. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) until you click it. If you then write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies, and Meta may process data in the USA.
Social media
We link to our profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Vimeo. These are plain links. Nothing is sent to those networks until you click one.
Backups
Encrypted backups of this website are stored with Wasabi Technologies in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, under a data processing agreement. The data is encrypted before it leaves our server.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). To use any of these rights, write to hello@menschcreative.org.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. For us this is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
